Dr. Stephen H. Landy, M.D.

Dr. Landy earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of South Carolina and his Medical Doctorate from the University of Tennessee in Memphis. He then completed an internship at Methodist University Hospital and a three-year Neurology Residency at Vanderbilt University’s School of Medicine. Dr. Landy is Board certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners, and the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. In 2003, he earned a certificate of added qualification in headache management and was named a fellow of the American Headache Society.

After several years in private practice, Dr. Landy was one of the founding partners of Wesley Neurology Clinic in 1992. Currently, Dr. Landy serves as the Director of Wesley Headache Clinic where he maintains an active practice while continuing to be active in headache research and education.

Some of Dr. Landy’s recent publications include articles in Pain Practice, The Journal of Head and Face Pain, Neurology, Neurotherapeutics, and Cephalalgia: An International Journal of Headache. Dr. Landy’s research foci include the treatment of menstrual migraine headaches, the pharmaceutical treatment of headaches and migraines, and the effects of headache education.

Dr. Landy is a member of the American Medical Association, the Memphis Medical Society, the Tennessee Medical Association, the American Academy of Neurology, the American Headache Society, the National Headache Foundation, and the International Headache Society. He is also Clinical Professor in the Department of Neurology at the University of Tennessee Medical School in Memphis, and is on staff at Methodist University Hospital, Baptist Memorial Hospitals, the Veterans Association Medical Center, and the Regional Medical Center, all in Memphis.
